November has been a busy month at Strive Clinic! We launched our clinic on Donegal Road in Killybegs on November 1st and the response has been overwhelming. Many thanks to all the well-wishers and everyone who helped us in getting our doors open. In Killybegs, we currently have physiotherapy, psychotherapy and lymphoedema therapy services available. Occupational therapy and clinical nutrition services will come soon.
We’re very excited to have Joanne McCarron join our team this month in Galway. Joanne is a CORU-registered Dietitian and has an interest in nutrition before, during and after cancer treatment, low FODMAP diets for irritable bowel syndrome, weight management and healthy eating, nutrition and kidney disease, and many other areas of nutrition! You can call reception in Galway for an appointment with Joanne. Anyone in Donegal can also access Joanne’s expertise via our secure telehealth platform Strive At Home – that’s when you can come into our clinic in Killybegs and have a consultation with Joanne in Galway using a private and secure video link. Just another way that we’re bringing much needed services to the North West!
In December, Debbie Fallows (Pelvic Rehabilitation Physiotherapist) and Kate Kearney (Compassion Focused Therapist) will host a free information morning for new mums. This will be on Monday December 11th at 10am in Strive Clinic Galway. There will be an introduction to our new programme called OptiMums – Postnatal Wellness for all new Mothers. At Strive Clinic we believe that our physical and mental health can not be separated. The OptiMums programme is designed to maximise physical and psychological potential as a new mother. At this information morning Kate and Debbie will talk about some of the physical and emotional issues that can arise for new mums and there will be lots of time for audience discussion! You can register for this event on our Eventbrite page - and of course babies are welcome too!!
As always, if you have any comments or questions please get in touch!
