Managing Cancer Related Fatigue - Workshop Series

People with Cancer Related Fatigue often describe a persistent lack of energy, whole-body exhaustion and general weakness, which does not go away even with rest. Unfortunately, Cancer Related Fatigue is a common symptom of cancer and cancer treatment and can affect anybody regardless of their type of cancer, age, or stage of treatment.

Cancer Related Fatigue can leave us physically and emotionally drained, while being very disruptive to daily life.

This series of four workshops will focus on strategies to improve function and quality life when living with Cancer Related Fatigue.

The programme will be delivered by Kimberley Clarke, Occupational Therapist at Strive Clinic Galway.

Each workshop will last approximately 60 minutes and will occur on four consecutive weeks.

The total cost of the programme of four workshops is €90.

Managing Cancer-Related Memory & Concentration Problems - Workshop Series

Chemobrain is a common term used to describe thinking, memory and concentration problems that can arise after a cancer diagnosis or treatment. 

This is a 4-week series of workshops which aim to provide practical advice and strategies to manage memory and concentration problems associated with cancer and cancer treatments.

The programme of workshops will be delivered by Kimberley Clarke, Occupational Therapist at Strive Clinic Galway.

Each workshop will last approximately 60 minutes and will occur on four consecutive weeks.

The total cost of the programme of four workshops is €90.

OptiMums - Postnatal Wellness

OptiMums provides new and recent mums with a combined physical and mental health wellness package. A combined programme of individual assessments and group sessions with:

  • Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist in Pelvic Rehabiliation
  • Compassion Focused Therapist

We believe strongly that our minds and bodies are inextricably linked. Our goal is to work with you to reach your physical and psychological potential as you transition into motherhood.

Individual assessments will begin during the week beginning January 8th and group sessions will begin on Tuesday January 16th.

Usual cost for full programme is €250. This is reduced to €200 for all mums who book their place during the month of February 2018. This price includes all individual consultations and all group sessions.

Living with Arthritis

People of all ages are living with arthritis. Although there is no cure for arthritis, good management is essential to maintain function and prevent further damage.

This series of three workshops will:

  • Provide education & advice on arthritis self-management
  • Teach joint protection strategies to avoid strain through the joints & prevent flare-ups
  • Explore energy conservation strategies

There will be a particular focus on management of hand and upper limb arthritis.
